Project Lead The Way/SDSU Society of Women Engineers' Girls Day Out: Middle School Edition
Project Lead The Way (PLTW) and San Diego State University's Society of Women Engineers (SWE) chapter are hosting a Spring 2016 Girls Day Out just for middle school girls on Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 1pm-4pm at San Diego State University (SDSU). Students will have the opportunity to explore a few STEM fields with hands-on activities and interact with SDSU's SWE chapter and other student organizations, while parents/chaperones will learn about scholarship opportunities, various STEM programs for their daughters, and much more.

Lilly will offer a series of hands-on, interactive or observational learning opportunities for a diverse audience, primarily (not exclusively) targeting grad and middle school. Attendees will walk through different learning stations revolving around the concepts of molecule structure and function, and the effect of their modifications in biological models. Temporary tattoos or other giveaways will be available.
