Midshipmen from the United States Naval Academy mentor you through your choice of several hands- on, interactive science and engineering modules for all ages. The diverse subject matter planned includes a range of STEM topics including chemistry, aerodynamics, electricity, logic, and robotics.

We will be presenting a mix of aerospace and electrical hands on activities. For our aerospace activities, we will be creating straw rockets. For our electrical activities, we will be experimenting with different kinds of circuits, along with bringing electrostatic machines for demonstrative purposes.

Cristo Rey San Diego High School will have our student-led robotics team represent our high school and showcase the current robot they are creating for competition. This is the first robot that Cristo Rey students have competed with and they are very excited to educate the public on what they ve done thus far.

NASA Eyes - Experience Earth, our solar system, nearby asteroids, the universe, and the spacecraft exploring them with immersive real-time 3D web-based apps for Mac, PC and mobile devices. You can also build a Psyche spacecraft model and learn about NASA's Earth Science program.

Outreach group that educates the public on the importance and necessity of animal research and their contributions. Ask trivia questions, bring a long a mascot, poster props and giveaways.

We will have a couple of hands-on activities, possibly including making play dough (for kids to begin to think in 3D and mold easy objects); 3D pen creations; fused bead projects, other ideas in the works. Booth visitors will learn about Clicbitz's UCSD Extended Studies college-credit approved courses for middle- and high-school students. Students will be showcasing learning, including Squishy Circuits and Lego Mindstorms Robots. Visiting attendees will have the opportunity to connect wires and playdough to light up a lightbulb while as they learn about electricity and circuits. Attendees can also engage in a robot race and hear about how they can use coding to design and drive robots.

Attendees will have the opportunity to delve into the nuances of airport noise and learn more about our Quieter Homes Program, a unique way we mitigate sound to enhance the quality of life in our surrounding neighborhoods.
