Join the Biocom Institute Festival of Science & Engineering as we celebrate STEM In the Vista community! Bring your family to the Main Street Parking lot (located next to the Avo playhouse) for a FREE and fun filled day featuring over 25 interactive, hands-on exhibits from local businesses, nonprofits, and schools. All activities are to spark a love for science in your future innovator.

*Parking is available for free in the adjacent dirt parking lot off Main Street, Vista, CA. Free street parking is also available on Sundays.

Super STEM Saturday is designed to expose and engage kids of all ages and their families to the diverse and exciting fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, known as the STEM disciplines. The brainchild of The Classical Academies and held in partnership with CSUSM, Super STEM Saturday has grown into a popular North County event that draws over 7,000 science enthusiasts each year to the university campus.

Vista Unified School District would like to extend an invitation to join us for our 4th Annual STEM Fest event. STEM Fest is an evening event celebrating Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics showcasing K-12 student's innovative and creative STEM work. STEM related companies will host demonstrations and share career related information. MiraCosta and Palomar colleges, Cal State San Marcos and UCSD will also be in attendance providing interactive STEM activities and college STEM course and major information. The sky is falling! In this engineering challenge, children will create a device to protect Chicken Little if the sky does begin to fall.

“Fee-fi-fo-fum!” Jack needs to get down from the beanstalk before the Giant catches him. In this engineering challenge, children will help Jack escape from the giant by building a parachute.

The three Billy Goat brothers want to eat fresh grass on the other side of the bridge, but the Troll threatens to stop them. In this engineering challenge, children will create a trap for the troll under the bridge.

Little Red Riding Hood needs to get to her grandmother’s house to make a delivery. In this engineering challenge, children will build a strong basket for Little Red Riding Hood to carry all her goods to Grandmother’s house.

"Run, run, as fast as you can! You can't catch me! I'm the Gingerbread Man!" In this engineering challenge, children will create an escape vehicle for the Gingerbread Man.
