The booth will focus on robotics and engineering with the use of Lego components. Students will use different components and learn how STEM is applied to each lego project that is used. Students will also be able to manipulate different projects with the use of block coding to have the lego build perform different functions. At the the booth, students will be exposed to video game design and the behind the scenes on how games come to life with the use of programming and coding.

iD Tech

We are the world’s #1 summer tech camp for kids and teens ages 6 – 18! At iD Tech, we offer day & overnight summer camps for aspiring programmers, app developers, video game designers, engineers, filmmakers, photographers, and more. Courses are led by tech-savvy, adult-only staff in a fun, energetic and experiential environment. In addition to providing entertaining and age-appropriate activities, our STEM summer camps are loaded with original, real-world curriculum and professional software.

NDIA San Diego Chapter

NDIA Exhibit booth goals are to have students learn about technology needed within DoD from our industry partners and military including Navy Diving Helmets, Robotics, a variety of electronic tools, lights, and lasers. NDIA members talk to the students and parents about careers in STEM and provided helpful information based on their real-world experience. Together we help awaken a greater interest in STEM and STEM education.

NASA Glenn Research Center Space Communications and Navigation Program

Assets of the Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) Program are created into models and projected on our Holographic video display. NASA’s SCaN Program sponsors the exhibit to communicate the message of “Decade of Light” in an innovative, animated way. Content includes an animation of the purpose, functionality and design of the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite (TDRS) 13 created by one of our Program’s former summer interns.

Millipore Sigma- Curiosity Cube

A retrofitted shipping container that has been transformed into a mobile science lab. The shipping container will travel the country stopping primarily at schools and public spaces to bring hands-on science to the masses. Provided by MilliporeSigma’s science education outreach program. Guests at the Curiosity Cube experience quick, fun, and hands-on science experiments led by MilliporeSigma local employees. The Curiosity Cube is equipped with the latest technology.

FRC Team 3128: The Aluminum Narwhals

Our exhibit will consist of two parts, an informational section and an interactive section. On one side of the booth we will have our competition robot on display with information on our team and FIRST robotics. On the other side of the booth we will have participants program Mindstorms EV3 robots in order to navigate through a maze. There will be a row of laptops on a table to achieve this.

At our booth we will have two of our GLO Base 2 computers. One of them will be set up and showcasing how our computer runs, while the other will be there to demonstrate how to take apart and assemble our computer.
