Learn about the JLABS incubator for life science startups and Janssen R&D, the pharmaceutical division of Johnson & Johnson. Kids will be able to do a "Make Your Own Super Ball" experiment and take pictures in a fun photo booth with science props.

Parents and kids are welcome to stop by the SDCCU booth to play a game of SDCCU Finance Jeopardy for an opportunity to win a chance to step into the SDCCU Cash Cube. Also, learn all about SDCCU's breakthrough banking products, services and education.

Engage in development of the next generation scientist/engineers through actions and coordination with agencies and organizations involved in education, such as Biocom and Science and Engineering Festival. Demonstrate technologies supporting Department of Defense. Communicate the importance and need for STEM education and encourage STEM career path.

3 fun activities(water filtration, antibody game, slime nose dispenser)

The STEAM Maker Recycled Fashion and Engineering Challenges. Students in graded 5-12 will compete in this head-to-head competition to build a costume or device inspired by the STAR WARS Steampunk Universe. When complete team members will answer questions from the judges as they walk the runway with their creation.

Ascent streetboards will host a hands on display for kids and adults to explore the science of polymers and plastics. The booth will take you through the design process to manufacturer plastic parts, which make up most of the components we touch. Kids will be able to compare and test the strength of different plastic parts and see common parts that use each of the plastics.

Interactive booth for all members of the public and having demonstrations covering ionized gases (plasma), electricity & magnetism, electricity generation, liquid nitrogen phenomena, and a levitating magnet.

The Recycling Information Booth provides information on waste reduction techniques such as recycling and composting. Information is also available on identification and proper disposal of commercial waste, household hazardous waste, and construction debris. The booth is a collaborative effort between the San Diego County Office of Education and the City of San Diego Environmental Services Department. Interactive games are featured teaching recycling rules in San Diego and general information on waste reduction.
